Online Presentation by Dr. Palmer

Dr. Palmer’s presentation, The Anatomy of Breastfeeding: How breastfeeding can reduce the risk of snoring and developing obstructive sleep apnea, is now available on Health-e-Learning’s website. This 67-minute presentation summarizes 30+ years of Dr. Palmer’s research on the topic of how the act of breastfeeding can help reduce the risk of developing the malocclusions that put individuals at risk for developing breathing and sleeping problems, especially obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).  OSA is a major contributor to many health problems, including high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, depression, daytime sleepiness, hyperactivity, bedwetting and obesity.

The fee for one week of unlimited access to the presentation is $18.75 US.  Lactation Consultant's and American nurses receive 1.25 CERP credit hours for the same price. When you consider nobody has to travel, stay in a hotel, get off work, or pay a conference fee, it is a very reasonably priced continuing education opportunity.

I am hoping other researchers will gain a better understanding of craniofacial and airway growth and development from this presentation and this website, and then carry on with more research on the topic.
